COMPLETE COVID19 ACTION PLAN

At Island Boutique Hotel our priority is the safety and well-being of our guests and staff. Following the declaration of the corona virus (COVID-19) pandemic, we would like to extend our warmest thoughts to the people affected by this unfortunate event and our deepest appreciation to the health workers and local communities fighting the virus. .

We do everything we can to provide you with the safest accommodation, as we closely follow the latest developments, standards and protocols on COVID-19 issued by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Greek government, the Ministry of Health, local services health and public health officials. Everything is ready to keep in mind your health and safety.

Upon arrival of guests at our hotels for the following months, will notice some changes – additions to the operating procedures of the hotel which are designed to minimize the risk and enhance the safety of guests and employees. The additional measures taken by our hotel, observing both the mandatory criteria of the Health Protocols of our country and the optional recommendations, in order to enhance the trust and safety of both our customers & staff include the following:

Training of hotel staff
Training of all staff in compliance with the new COVID-19 Health Protocols
• Information signs in employee areas

Means of personal protection
• Providing personal protective equipment to all staff.
• Hand antiseptics are available for guests and staff in all public areas

Maintaining distances
• Appropriate markings in all public areas
• Suitable arrangement of tables in reception, restaurants, bar, Jacuzzi

Cleaning-disinfection protocols
The hotel has selected approved disinfectant preparations with virulent and bactericidal action suitable for SARS-CoV-2.

  • Guest rooms
    • Enhanced cleaning and disinfection programs for the cleaning of the guest rooms with special emphasis on the points of frequent contact
    • A steam device is used to disinfect fabric surfaces.
    • Decorative objects are removed from the rooms.
    • Housekeeping trolleys are disinfected at the end of each shift
    Daily cleaning remains a hotel policy. However, there is an option to reduce the frequency at the request of the customer.
    • Linen is changed every 1 day depending on the type of room.

Public spaces
• Increased frequency of cleaning of common areas and surfaces and staff workplaces, with special emphasis on frequent contact points
• A steam device is used to disinfect fabric surfaces.
• Restaurant tables are disinfected after each use.

The cleaning and maintenance of air conditioners based on the relevant Circulars.

Reception
• Check out 11 a.m. check in at 15.00 p.m.
• Keeping a file of customers with personal data (address, phone, email) for reasons of public health protection and possible need for tracking.
• Plexiglas divider in the socket
• Appropriate marking on the floor of the socket to keep distances
• The key-cards are disinfected after each use
• POS terminals are disinfected after each use
Work surfaces and common objects are disinfected during the shift and at every shift change
• Complete medical kit available at the reception
• The possibility of using contactless transactions is strengthened
• Customers are informed about changes in services provided

Use of elevators
• Encourages customers to use the ladder.
• The maximum number of people allowed is indicated at the entrance of the elevator.
• Encourage elevator use only by customers staying in the same room
Restaurant operation
• The buffet service is provided only by the restaurant staff
• Where possible, individual portions are used.
• Appropriate table seating distances

Food safety
At our hotel, food preparation is carried out by trained staff in compliance with HACCP principles.

Jacuzzi function
• Maximum number of people allowed in the Jacuzzi
• Keeping distances on sun beds
• Disinfection on sun beds after each use
• Pool-beach towels are provided to guests on a daily basis
Suppliers of goods and services
• All suppliers follow the same Health Protocols
• Suppliers are not allowed to enter.

Our hotel implements a management plan in case of a suspicious case of a visitor or employee based on the Health Protocol of our country.
The management of our hotel is committed to the full implementation of the Greek health protocol for the operation of hotels.
